ASIA TRIP 2019
We are excited to announce that this summer, we will be traveling to Thailand to serve and provide vision care with Nightlight International, a nonprofit organization offering holistic intervention and restoration for women, families, and communities affected by the global sex industry.
It's been many years since we've lived in Thailand and Nightlight is an organization we have worked with in the past and we're very happy to be working with them again.
Caring for peoples' eyes is at the heart of what we do and we want to extend that care to underserved areas of the world. Members of our team have volunteered on medical trips in South America and Southeast Asia with humanitarian organizations. Previous to Brooklyn, Dr. Nguyen lived in Thailand and served with some of those organizations, "Some of these people have never had an eye exam and this was their only chance. All my craft fits into a box and goes over the ocean, so I was really grateful to use my skills... and I want to do that again."
